Iris Foundation was the grateful recipient of a cheque for $2,000 at Brisbane Water Rotary’s gala presentation evening on June 3.
The funds will directly support the delivery of a Connections 2×2 resilience workshop – two sessions of two hours’ duration, over consecutive weeks – to be delivered in a Peninsula school next term.
These workshops were developed last year, in response to the mental health impacts of COVID-19. The compact and engaging format introduces fundamental tools for building resilience, including personal strengths and values, problem solving strategies and relaxation techniques to primary and high school students across the Central Coast.
