We do it from the day we’re born, but most folks are pretty lousy at listening.

Allowing others to express themselves without interrupting, judging or letting your attention wander is a form of mindfulness that takes practice. But making a conscious effort to listen is one of the most effective ways to create connection and understanding.

Ask Izzy is an online information service that helps to link people with hundreds of support services across Australia. Users can start by entering a search word or by choosing from the listed categories of help available, like housing, food or legal advice. Ask Izzy can by viewed on a computer or phone, with no app to be downloaded.

Developed by the Black Dog Institute, iBobbly is a evidence-based mobile app tailored to help Indigenous young people 15+ manage their mental health. Users can assess their mood, find helpful tips and information, make an action plan or connect with relevant services. Click here to find out more.
